The most important point about the kiatvan diet is that its low GI, plus of course no sugar! Personally i think the paleo nature of this diet (exclusion of grains and beans) is also a key factor, this would help to lower antinutrient intake. I don’t necessarily see a high fruit and sweet potato diet as being the take away point, more that the overal glycemic impact of this diet was low. There are those that eat a high meat diet/high fat diet that is also perfectly healthy-low GI.
